Section Trumpet III Vacancy

 

 

The Yakima Symphony Orchestra will perform up to 30 services in the 08-09 season involving trumpet from October through April.  Compensation is on a per-service basis.  This is a tenure track position

 

Auditions will be held in Yakima, WA on Monday, June 30, 2008. Recorded auditions may be accepted only under exceptional circumstances.

 

 

Audition Requirements

 

I. Required Solo:                     Unaccompanied solo of playerÕs choice between 3 and 5                                                      minutes duration

 

II. Required Excerpts:               Beethoven       Leonore Overture No. 3

                                                Ravel               Alborada del Gracioso (play Trumpet I)

                                                Shostakovich   Symphony No. 1

                                                Handel             ŅThe trumpet shall soundÓ from Messiah
