Executive Director
The Yakima Symphony Orchestra (YSO) is seeking a qualified individual for the full-time position of Executive Director. The Executive Director, who reports to the Board of Directors, is responsible for managing the YSO's human, administrative, advancement and financial resources to achieve the orchestra's mission. Applicants should have a bachelor's degree in business, arts management or another related degree, and demonstrated experience in budget and personnel management. Salary is dependent on experience. The City of Yakima is located in a rich agricultural region with nationally important hop and fruit production as well as a robust wine industry. Yakima is close to Mt. Rainier National Park and about 2 hours from Seattle.
The YSO first annual Christmas Pops Concert was a big hit! Fun was had by all, audience and orchestra. One more concert at the Capitol Theatre this year - The Nutcracker 12/10/11 at 2pm and 7:30pm.
